Hello and welcome to my Blog, The purpose of this site is to inform everyone of my writing. The first book is now finished. I am starting to gather the ideas and plots for the second and third. I have put the excerpt from the fourth on the site. Though I wrote it around twenty years ago and it will be updated and revised. I believe it still has the the same power as it had when I first wrote it. I'll put another excerpt from one of the others out sometime around Christmas 2014.
I have now finished the first book, the details are on this this site. It will be priced at $3.29 which converts to just over £2. It took me just over two years to write. I am approaching retiring from full time work after nearly forty years, the profession is not what it was, and has now become dominated by politics, money and bureaucracy. I intend to write in retirement and will begin the next novels in the forthcoming months. A new idea came out of a desire to write a book which accurately describes everyday events. Learning from Stephen King I have decided this will be a series of 25,000 word "Novellas" It will not be exciting, I will just have to try and not make it depressing. The basic plan is there, as is the idea for the artwork. There will be a "spin off" from the first novel, beyond that I have no idea what it will be about, It does have a title. With the completion of what will be the fourth novel, from which the excerpt is taken, I have another five books to write which should keep me occupied for years. Inspiration comes from the artist Henri Rousseau, who when he retired from public service became world renown, He is not remembered as a Customs Officer. There will not be link or common theme between one book and the next, I do not intend to write in a defined genre, I shall expand my ideas in a way that I enjoy them and hope that others will enjoy them as well.
